One of the most significant advantages of our training process is that you don’t need to choose between learning and earning. We will compensate you for your hard work throughout your time in the apprenticeship program.
When you enroll and begin training, you’re committing to a future with us. The “Earn While You Learn” philosophy is our commitment to you.
- 3 1/2 years of on-the-job training
- 2 weeks of classroom training per semester, 144 hours per year
- Starting wages is 50% journeyman’s scale.
- Wage increases at 6 month intervals.

Organized in 1864, we are the original Bricklayers Local 1 and the first Labor Union and Local of any trade west of the Mississippi River. Our roots run deep in our region, and we take pride in the reputation we’ve built throughout the past 150+ years. With unrivaled leadership and a commitment to hard work, we look forward to another century of providing our community with quality craftsmanship.
Our jurisdiction covers the entirety of the eastern portion of Missouri: from the northern to southern Missouri borders and from the Mississippi River to the western borders of Clark, Lewis, Marion, Ralls, Pike, Lincoln, Warren, Franklin, Crawford, Iron, Reynolds, Carter, and Ripley counties.
